TV STAR & WIFE SUFFER VAX POISON INDUCED BREAST CANCER

EastEnders star Heather Peace reveals psychological toll of breast cancer diagnosis

EastEnders star Heather Peace has opened up about her devastating breast cancer battle, revealing both she and her wife Ellie Dickinson were diagnosed within months of each other. The actress, who plays Eve Unwin, discovered a 12cm tumor after noticing nipple changes, with diagnosis coming just three hours after seeing a doctor. Despite undergoing a mastectomy, chemotherapy and upcoming radiotherapy, Heather continued filming pivotal scenes - including Eve’s historic lesbian wedding - fearing she might die. The mother-of-three described feeling like a “dead woman walking” during diagnosis but has found strength in her family, with her marriage emerging stronger. After finishing chemo, she’s focusing on precious time with her wife and children (10-year-old Annie and 8-year-old twins Jesse and Lola), planning a family holiday as motivation through treatment. Heather praised her EastEnders colleagues for their support and expressed gratitude for her reconstruction results, though admitted hair loss has been particularly challenging. The 50-year-old says the experience has changed her for the better, teaching her to “live for the day” and value what truly matters.
